Validation of debt method (debt validation dispute method) is where we're sending dispute letters to the collection agencies and banking on them not entering the notice of dispute (required under FCRA 623 and FDCPA 807) - the bureaus are also required to do this but are more likely to enter it than the collection agencies but you'll still get some nice credit bureau fcra violations there, too!
