You can use the debt validation process to dispute and remove collections and charge-offs. My only recommendation (to save YOU!) is to ONLY dispute with debt buyers (like Portfolio Recovery and Midland) if the debts are outside the statute of limitations for your state, and if you are disputing medical collections, make sure that the balances are not high, or that if they ARE, they are outside the statute of limitations for debt collection in your state.
